Our Story
Est. 1923

The name La Grocerie comes from old French for grocery shop, reflecting a clear desire to get back to the basics of what neighbourhood grocery shops used to be. We opened in 2023, but 1923 suited us better — so we stamped that date on the storefront.
Under one roof, you'll find an artisan sandwich shop, a farm grocery and Luxembourg's first natural wine cellar. Every product is selected for quality and provenance, every supplier is a local partner.
Once inside, a large mural reflects the founding principles of the project: local, short supply chains, community. All furniture has been upcycled to reduce our ecological footprint.
Our Philosophy
We champion quality food that is accessible and rooted in the terroir. Our producers are our neighbours — from Luxembourgish farms to artisan winemakers across Europe.
La Cave de la Grocerie was born from the collaboration between Eric Vantieghem, importer of clean wines since 2007, and Servan Bernard, founder of the wine bar Vins Fins and La Grocerie. Together, they offer a wide selection of natural wines through direct import.
Every Thursday, the cellar becomes a place for sharing through friendly tastings. The rules are rewritten — the bling is set aside in favour of what truly matters: enjoyment, discovery and human connection.
We favour local and organic products, from the producer to your plate.
More than a shop — a gathering place for food and wine lovers.
Direct import, no middlemen. From the farm and vineyard to your table.
Push the door of La Grocerie du Gründ. Sandwiches, fine grocery or a good glass of natural wine await you.
